A fabulous day in wine country

Sustainable Wine Tours surpassed my expectations. From the on-time pick-up in a beautiful, comfortable van, to the informative and attentive tour guide Carina to the fabulous wine makers; everything was excellent.

Unbelievable experience

Unbelievable experience; we visited private wineries that we would have never even knew existed without this tour! We enjoyed every stop and everyone evolved. This was our favorite excursion of our trip.

Perfect wine tour

This year we did something different for Thanksgiving. We spent an extended weekend in Santa Barbara. We wanted to do some wine tastings without the hassle of renting a car and driving ourselves, so we chose Sustainable Wine Tours. This was a great choice.

Private tastings with the winemakers themselves… amazing tour!

What an amazing time exploring 3 wineries in Santa Ynez Valley with Scott! We got personal, private tastings with small batch wineries and met the winemakers themselves! If you love wine, learning about the process of wine, and supporting small businesses this is the tour for you!

Perfect trip!

Scott was amazing. Locations were great. Felt very personal and welcoming. Sommeliers were fantastic and knowledgeable. If we could give him 10 stars we would. The best!

A different wine experience 🍷

A must see for wine lovers! A behind the scenes tour with no crowds and a real look at the people behind the bottles who make the wine.

A very leisurely wine tasting experience!!

One of the best tours we’ve ever taken!! 3 tours and tasting of private wineries with magnificent wines. It lasted over 7 hours and my wife and I were pampered every minute. We couldn’t have enjoyed the experience more!!

Best wine tour I’ve ever been on

Our wine tour was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The owner, Scott, picked us up in a large Mercedes sprinter van right outside our Air bnb for our party of 8. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and played great music.

10/10 experience

Scott was AMAZING. My family of eight was visiting Santa Barbara. We wanted to visit central coast wineries . Scott picked us up in a beautiful sprinter van. He arranged three visits to three incredible and private wineries. Our visits were private to just my family.

Why Santa Barbara in October Is Worth Planning Your Year Around

What if the best month to visit Santa Barbara isn’t summer at all?  Summer gets all the credit. That’s the real problem with Santa Barbara. People flood in during July and August, pay peak prices, fight for a parking spot on State Street, and leave wondering why it felt a little rushed. October is different….

Why Do Locals Say Santa Barbara in September Is the Best Month in California?

There’s a thing that happens every year at the end of summer in Santa Barbara. Locals start getting that quiet, knowing look. They’re watching the summer crowds that clog State Street, waiting for more parking again, and to finally get rid of the fog that hangs over the coast most mornings in June and July. …

Santa Barbara in August: What the Weather Is Actually Like (And How to Plan Your Days)

Santa Barbara in August is warm, dry, and reliably sunny. Average temperatures sit around 73 to 83°F during the day. That sounds like every beach town in California, but Santa Barbara is different in one specific way.  Unlike much of California’s coastline, Santa Barbara sits along a south facing stretch of coast. That orientation puts…

What Makes a Private Wine Tasting Experience in Santa Barbara Different From a Regular Tour?

Most people book a wine tour expecting something special. What they get is a crowded tasting room, a rushed pour, and a staff member who’s clearly talked about “minerality” four hundred times today. It’s fine. Not unforgettable. A private wine tasting experience in Santa Barbara is a different thing entirely. Not just a smaller group…

9 Best Things to Do in Santa Barbara for Couples (That Are Actually Worth Your Weekend)

Santa Barbara is a couple’s city. It’s not trying to be. It just is. The Pacific sits west. The Santa Ynez Mountains rise north. Between them is a stretch of red-tile rooftops, ocean air, and wine country that makes people look up real estate listings by the end of their trip. But “things to do…

Why Choose a Boutique Winery for Your Santa Barbara Wine Tasting?

Walk into any big commercial winery on a Saturday afternoon, and you’ll get it immediately. A line at the counter. A script from a staffer who’s poured the same flight forty times that day. A tasting that feels less like wine and more like a transaction. That’s not Santa Barbara. And honestly, that’s not why…
